How do I sign up to Mintly?

Signing up is easy, just click the Register button in the menu above, or click to create an account. Once registered, view our subscription options to find the plan that suits your needs the best.

Remember, we offer a completely free 14-day trial where you can access all of Mintly's tools and see if they fit with your business. We're confident they will!

Do I need any special software on my computer?

Mintly is hosted entirely in the cloud, so the only software you need on your computer is a morden web browser. We recommend using one of the latest three versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox.

Our website uses the latest security features to ensure your data and the data you submit is secure and encrypted. We also encrypt all data we store.

Do you offer a free sort code checker?

We do, see our free sort code checker; in addition all our plans include a number of free sort code and account checks. We carefully curate and update our data weekly to ensure that our customers get the most accurate and up-to-date information available. We also need to run our infrastructure and support systems. Our plans are very competitive, starting from just £39+VAT a month which includes 500 free checks. See our plans here.

What types of accounts can you check, and what countries are covered?

We can validate sort codes and account numbers from the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. We can also validate IBAN for all participant countries. Some participant countries use a national check digit, and we can validate that too.

We hold data for all UK and Ireland banking institutions, as well as the types of payments they support. We are working towards supporting European and International institutions so that we can offer a global lookup of branch data.

Which plan is right for me?

We offer four plans, designed to suit different needs:

  • Our Enterprise plan is designed for businesses who need a lot of checks each month. We customise each plan based on your requirements. If you think you'll need an SLA or high volume, this is the most cost effective plan for you.
  • Our Professional plan is designed for businesses who need a moderate/high number of checks each month; we include 25,000 free checks.
  • Our Standard Plus plan is designed for small businesses or individuals who need low numbers of checks each month; we include 10,000 free checks.
  • Our Starter plan is designed for individuals or very small businesses who need minimal checks each month; we include 100 free checks.
If your business needs something different, get in touch and we can create a bespoke plan.

I have a team who need to use your tools. How does that work?

We've tried to make it easy if you have a team. Each of our plans cater for team usage and team members can be added by the team admin.

  • Our Enterprise plan includes unlimited team members.
  • Our Professional plan includes 5 team members, including the admin.
  • Our Standard Plus plan includes 2 team members, including the admin.
You'll need a corporate email domain to enable team access.

How do I use your API?

To use our API you'll need some programming experience, or a team of software engineers within your business. We've made our API as easy to use as possible, and include example code to help you or your engineers get started quickly.

Do you offer a discount for charity or educational institutions?

We can look at possible discounts for charities and education providers in combination with your needs. Contact us for a chat using the form below!

I don't have any programming skills, can I still use Mintly?

Yes! We have a secure website where you can use our tools to submit sort codes and account numbers, either individually or in bulk, to check if they're valid. These checks come out of your paid plan, and display the account and branch data.

We also have a Zapier integration that allows you to connect Mintly to any other software that Zapier supports. Check out Zapier.com for details!

Where do you get your data from?

We are an Authorised Distributor for the Extended Industry Sort Code Database (EISCD). We get updated data from Vocalink  each week so you can rest assured that you have the most current information available. If you'd like to licence the EISCD data directly, please do get in touch.

We use the latest modulus checking algorithms, the same ones used by banks to generate account numbers.
